			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Steve Wells and Dr. David Lake are pioneers in EFT and have released a new book called <strong>Enjoy Emotional Freedom: Simple Techniques for Living Life to the Full</strong>. The book is packed with practical, clear, simply stated information on using EFT and their own Simple Energy Techniques (SET). The book has 6 chapters plus appendices and is packed full of practical experience, wisdom and tips. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.eftdownunder.com/enjoyemotionalfreedom.html" class="liimagelink"><img src="http://www.tap4health.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/Enjoy-Emotional-Freedom-big-195x300.jpg" alt="Enjoy Emotional Freedom Front Cover" title="Enjoy Emotional Freedom Front Cover" width="195" height="300" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1635" /></a>The first 2 chapters introduces you to the whole idea of energy techniques and energy psychology. You can skip these if you are already familiar with the field. </p>
<p>Chapters 3 and 4 introduction EFT and SET respectively and give a very succinct and clear definition of both. I believe that the EFT chapter would easily be a worthy replacement for the soon to be retired free EFT manual from Gary Craig. These chapters give clear instructions on where and how to tap, what to say and who to handle some of the usual challenges that arise when using these techniques. I love the clarity of the writing and layout with questions and headings regularly featured throughout.</p>
<p>Chapter 5 is about the general ways to apply EFT and gives hints on how to make it part of your life. This is important for those who have still to develop the habit of using EFT/SET always, anywhere, anytime.</p>
<p>Chapter 6 is the meat of the book and shares a wealth of approaches, examples and experience on specific application of EFT/SET on conditions such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>Physical Issues &#8211; specific location, chasing the pain, and getting to the emotions</li>
<li>Children &#8211; how tapping on yourself and them helps</li>
<li>Trauma self-help &#8211; including Tell the Story and Movie techniques</li>
<li>Panic Disorder &#8211; how to &#8220;de-tune&#8221; your system from the stress response</li>
<li>Compulsive Disorders and Bulimia &#8211; could also apply to other addictions</li>
<li>Depression &#8211; including a discussion on the role of medication</li>
<li>Self Acceptance &#8211; including a person story of Steve Well&#8217;s journey</li>
<li>Relationships &#8211; I like the bit on being right</li>
<li>Peak performance, success and achieving your goals, and Wellness</li>
</ul>
<p>It would have been useful to have these heading featured in the Table of Contents for easy reference.</p>
<p>Finally, the Appendices have a great list of Questions and Answers (FAQ) and current research in the field &#8211; always useful for the convincing scientific types.</p>
<p>At around 240 pages, this is one of the most succinct and useful yet thorough books in the EFT field. I reflects well on the Australian experts that they can convey such valuable information in so few words. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How many times a day do you see or hear the News? Many people hear it first when their clock radio goes off in the morning. Then they turn on the TV during breakfast to watch what they just heard. Then they listen to the news again on the way to work in the car, or read the newspaper on public transport. At work, maybe there is a radio playing in the workplace that repeats the news every hour. Finally, getting home at the end of the day, they then immerse themselves in a full hour of news and current affairs with a late-night update for good measure.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m curious, how does watching or hearing the news makes you feel: fearful, sad, depressed, helpless, frustrated, angry, suspicious? Are these the emotions you really want to consistently condition into your energy system?</p>
<p>Yes there is the very occasional snippet of good news amongst all the death, crime, politics, and bloodshed but it is very much in the minority.</p>
<p>I often hear from people that you have to watch the news so that you know what&#8217;s going on in the world. My response to this statement is &#8220;why?&#8221; Of the many things that are presented to us in the News, very few affect us directly and, more importantly, are within our sphere of influence to do something about. <b>If we can&#8217;t do anything about what is being presented this brings up the feelings of frustration, anger, guilt, fear etc.</b></p>
<p>I&#8217;m not saying to stick your head in the sand and ignore what is going on in the wider world.  I am saying that you need to consciously guard against the  negative conditioning of your energy system for your long-term health and well-being.</p>
<p>Choose when and how often you&#8217;re exposed to the News and you will find that your overall outlook on life will improve plus you&#8217;ll find yourself forming your own opinions versus those thrust upon you by the mainstream media.</p>
<p>Here is some EFT that may help with the effect of News on your nervous system. Using this <a href="http://www.tap4health.com/eft-tapping-points/" class="liinternal">EFT tapping points guide</a>, start and continue tapping on the indicated points while saying:</p>

<p>Try tapping while you watch TV and notice just how much your system relaxes and releases. You will be surprised and empowered. Remember you have  choice and responsibility for your own well-being.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Maybe it&#8217;s soft drinks/soda, maybe it&#8217;s chocolate, maybe it&#8217;s cheese, maybe it&#8217;s hot chips, maybe it&#8217;s a cigarette? You probably have at least one thing that you crave almost irrationally. Here is an example of how to use EFT reduce and control your cravings.</p>
<p>This procedure will put you in control of your craving and, with persistance, will eventually eliminate the craving altogether. The faster that you can get to the emotional cause behind the craving, the faster you will completely eliminate the behaviour.</p>
<p>The best time to do this tapping is right when you have the craving so you may want to print this out and keep it handy.</p>
<p>Have what you crave right in front of you so that you are really tuned into it. On a scale from 0-10, where 10 is &#8220;must have now!&#8221; and 0 is &#8220;don&#8217;t want it&#8221;, rate you level of craving. Write this down. Now work through the <a href="http://www.tap4health.com/eft-tapping-points/" title="Emotional Freedom Techinque Tapping Points" class="liinternal">EFT tapping points</a> as follows:</p>

<p>Now re-evaluate you level of craving. Has it reduced, changed in some way, or even increased? You may need to do a few more rounds to completely reduce the craving but remember that you need to be persistent.</p>
<p>An additional factor in food cravings is whether you are eating the right balance of protein and carbohydrates. If, after eating a meal, you crave something sweet then the ratio of carbohydrates was too high compared to protein. Note that vegetables are included in the carbohydrate macro food group.
