Release Christmas Gathering Stress

Family gatherings at Christmas can be a source of joy yet many people do not look forward to them because of existing issues and frictions with other family members.

Here is some tapping which will help you to ease the strain. Identify one person in the gathering and one thing that they do, have done, or will do that upsets you in some way.

Using this tapping points guide, start on the karate chop point with:

Even though this person always does this thing every year that gets on my nerves, I choose to feel relaxed and calm.
Even though this person knows what they do annoys me but won’t change their behaviour, I choose to feel relaxed and centred and accept them where they’re at.
Even though not being able to do anything about their behaviour is unbelievably frustrating, I completely love and accept myself and do the best I can to enjoy myself.
Top of Head: That annoying thing they do.
Eyebrows: Not wanting to be there.
Side of Eyes: I shouldn’t have to put up with it.
Under Eyes They know it annoys me.
Under Nose: I choose to feel relaxed and calm.
Chin Point: They do it every year.
Collarbones: I don’t know why it upsets me so.
Under Arms: I wonder if I can love them anyway?
Wrists: I choose to be at peace within.

You may need to do 5 or 6 rounds to cover all the different aspects of their behaviour. Its worth it to have a peaceful and enjoyable gathering.

By the way, a few rounds of tapping can usual help ease a hangover as well.
